Yesterday there were two special guests that came to Pt England School they were Marcus Winter and Louis Gordon-Latty. Andrew Patterson introduce them to us, first up was Marcus is a famous artist he goes to different place even the streets and he is named as the “Sand Man”. Marcus told as a dance from Bruno Mars Uptown Funk you up.

Next speaker was Louis he talk about what he does and showed as some videos. Louis had played Basketball all his life he told us told us to set our goals higher and higher. Marcus has been on one of the biggest boats and performed his first started around a young age.

Maths Problem.

Today me and my friends worked together to work out how to solve this question we had to work with our teacher Miss Peato.

Measurement.

Today in maths we learnt how to do Measurement. We were seeing how to mach measurement and witch one is the same.

Anzac Writing.

Topic: Anzac Memorial.

Purpose: What Our Thoughts Are?

Audience: Who Wants To Know About Our Thoughts Are.

On July 28th 1914 World War 1 was where it all began. People from our country signed up to save our people. But many people from different countries, even New Zealand, died and saved our country. It lasted until November 1918. More than 9 million soldiers were killed.

I felt great that people like them risked their lives to save our peoples lives. I felt sad for the one’s that didn't come back to there families, maybe people around the world, and their love ones. When i was outside staring at the memorial i felt depressed because it reminds me of someone in my family died.

It reminds me of someone in my family because of the people that fought and died for our countries. The Anzac soldiers might of find it a bit freaky that they were going to war. The men’s wives might of been heartbroken to see them going to war and might not see them again.

My Math Problem.

In kiwisport this term, we are learning  how to play basketball. So far, we have  learnt how to dribble the ball.

• Chelsea was able to dribble the ball 58 times.
• Elizabeth could only dribble half that amount.
• Semi could dribble the ball 7 more times than Chelsea.
• Izac could dribble the ball 3 times more than elizabeth.
• Q.How many times could each person dribble the ball?

Semi:65 times             58 +7=65

Chelsea:58 times        it says 58

Elizabeth:29 times     half of 58 = 29

Izac:31 times                 3 + 29=31

Todays Maths Work.

This is what we done in maths. I did it with my friends Kruiz And Bailee. We had to solve it so hard.

Tamaki College Open Day.

At Tamaki College we went there for a whole day to learn about how is it to be in college next year. When we got there we had to wait in there big hall that was like bigger than my house. There were different schools that came like Tamaki Primary, Panmure Bridge, Glen Innes, St Pius, Glen Brae, Ruapotaka, And Pt England.

It was a privilege to go there and see what college feels like it was cool to go to different subjects. One of the deputy principals told us to go and get our name tags that come with a USB to that was so amazing. My favourite subject was Science because i didn't know that when you rub a balloon on your head and put it next to water it bends the water.

WW1 Facts.

Every Friday we have a rotation to go around to different classes to learn different thing we have to learn about WW1. I am in the history class to learn about what happened in WW1.
