Purpose: What Our Thoughts Are?

Audience: Who Wants To Know About Our Thoughts Are.

On July 28th 1914 World War 1 was where it all began. People from our country signed up to save our people. But many people from different countries, even New Zealand, died and saved our country. It lasted until November 1918. More than 9 million soldiers were killed.

I felt great that people like them risked their lives to save our peoples lives. I felt sad for the one’s that didn't come back to there families, maybe people around the world, and their love ones. When i was outside staring at the memorial i felt depressed because it reminds me of someone in my family died.

It reminds me of someone in my family because of the people that fought and died for our countries. The anzac soldiers might of find it a bit freaky that they were going to war. The men’s wives might of been heartbroken to see them going to war and might not see them again.

Special Time With Friends Or ClassMates.

On Friday the 23rd of October we had athletics training. My class went with Mr Wiseman to the bottom field. When we arrived to the bottom field Mr Wiseman told us we were doing to do shot put. Soon Mr Wiseman went over the rules how you must hold the shot put and how you must throw it, he told us if you throw it  is just like a ball he said you might brake your arm. So I listened to what he had said and followed the instructions.

When it was time for record round we all lined up as I was in the line I felt nervous my schoolmate might laugh at me. So I thought to myself “They might not laugh at me because I’m strong”. Suddenly it was my turn so I picked up the shot put and it was heavy and big.

As I walked up into  the circle no one was laughing at me so I placed it carefully next to my neck and on three I cast it far as I could and I got .

How To Prevent Your Self From Getting Sick.

Winter is a season that comes with lots of sickness.We need to look after ourselves and these are some of the ways of preventing yourself from getting sick.

One of the easiest ways of staying healthy is eating a balanced range of food. This means eating from the 5 food groups with a focus on fruits and vegetables. If you do that then your body will receive all the nutrients it needs to be in the best condition to fight off invading germs.

Another way to prevent yourself from getting sick is by not picking up rubbish of the street with your bare hands. This means being careful about what you touch,because if you touch something that is dirty you might get sick. If you are going to pick up something dirty you should use gloves. If you do this the gloves will protect your hands from the germs.  

If you eat a good balance range of food and don’t pick dirty things off the street. Hope you got some of the notice and .   

Today in literacy we have been doing a craft about " How To Prevent Your Self From Getting Sick". This is my writing I did with a group. Hope You Enjoy.

Hi and I am going to explain to you what I've been doing in numeracy. We have been learning about Clock's and how to tell what time it will be 15 minutes later, 30 minutes later, and 1 hr earlier. I kind of struggled when I was working but when I got use to it it was easy.

Today in math class we done some word problems I did it with my buddy Zion. We struggled with our work but we had help from our teacher. And we finished it off properly.  

How do people spend and receive money.

Their are lots of ways to receive money. People receive money by doing jobs like Mowing their next door neighbor's lawn, paper run,security guard,. People receive money by banks with credit cards or from job’s. The most common ways for adults and kids to receive money is through working. Kids can do jobs like paper run. A paper route is one of the most common tried and true ways to earn money, and has been the first job for kids over the decade.

People spend their money on what they need like Food, Furniture, Clothing, High school fees, Bills, Fish “n” chips, Travel, Entertainment, Gambling, Insurance, Health, Pets, Technology.

People spend money on food, , Movies, games ,house items.

Why Do Dogs Sniff Butts.

 Once upon a time In 1999, on New Year's Eve at that time there was a dog going to a club named NightLife with his human friend named Maroroa he was a french person. When Garfield was with his human friend, there was a gang of dogs coming towards them.

That night when they were inside the bar Garfield could hear echoing voices going through the air. Garfield heard “ Come out side” so Garfield went outside and there was no one there. So he went back inside because it was cold and he saw that his friend Maroroa was gone.

1 hour later Garfield went looking for his friend when he was looking he saw a shadow going past him. He wondered who it was he heard another echoing sound and it said “ Look under the table” when he looked under the table he saw a bomb, and it went boom.

A couple of minutes later Garfield woke up and he noticed his butt was gone. So he started sniffing for his butt the smell got stronger and he was there. As he was sniffing for instead of finding his own butt he found his friend Maroroa and his butts.

And That’s Why Dogs Sniff Butts…..  

Maths- Volume.

Today in maths we learnt about volume and calculate the volume of 3d shapes.

Yesterday there were two special guests that came to Pt England School they were Marcus Winter and Louis Gordon-Latty. Andrew Patterson introduce them to us, first up was Marcus is a famous artist he goes to different place even the streets and he is named as the “Sand Man”. Marcus told as a dance from Bruno Mars Uptown Funk you up.

Next speaker was Louis he talk about what he does and showed as some videos. Louis had played Basketball all his life he told us told us to set our goals higher and higher. Marcus has been on one of the biggest boats and performed his first started around a young age.

My Math Problem.

In kiwisport this term, we are learning  how to play basketball. So far, we have  learnt how to dribble the ball.

• Chelsea was able to dribble the ball 58 times.
• Elizabeth could only dribble half that amount.
• Semi could dribble the ball 7 more times than Chelsea.
• Izac could dribble the ball 3 times more than elizabeth.
• Q.How many times could each person dribble the ball?

Semi:65 times             58 +7=65

Chelsea:58 times        it says 58

Elizabeth:29 times     half of 58 = 29

Izac:31 times                 3 + 29=31

Todays Maths Work.

This is what we done in maths. I did it with my friends Kruiz And Bailee. We had to solve it so hard.

Tamaki College Open Day.

At Tamaki College we went there for a whole day to learn about how is it to be in college next year. When we got there we had to wait in there big hall that was like bigger than my house. There were different schools that came like Tamaki Primary, Panmure Bridge, Glen Innes, St Pius, Glen Brae, Ruapotaka, And Pt England.

It was a privilege to go there and see what college feels like it was cool to go to different subjects. One of the deputy principals told us to go and get our name tags that come with a USB to that was so amazing. My favourite subject was Science because i didn't know that when you rub a balloon on your head and put it next to water it bends the water.

WW1 Facts.

Every Friday we have a rotation to go around to different classes to learn different thing we have to learn about WW1. I am in the history class to learn about what happened in WW1.
