Ban Plastic Bags.

Dear Prime Minister.

I am writing this letter to let you know that you should ban plastic bags. Plastic bags are very bad if it goes in the sea. It will kill our sea animals like whales, and any other sea animals, and birds.

I think that 1 billion plastic bags are being used in NZ every year. Plastic bags from shops for free and some people have to pay 10 cents for a plastic bag, like The WareHouse, and Pak N Save.

I think that people should use paper bags.

Your Sincerely
Isaaka

Pt. England.

WORLD WAR 1.

WWI- WORLD WAR 1.
WWI.jpg
On July 28th 1914 World War 1 was where it all began. People from our country signed up to save our people. But many people from different countries, even New Zealand, died and saved our country.

It lasted until November 1918. More than 9 million soldiers were killed. Today at assembly Mr. Burt called us to have a very important assembly. Mr Burt and Mrs Flavelle’s great grandfathers were in the war too.

I felt great that people like them risked there lives to save our peoples lives. I felt sad for the one’s that didn't come back to there families, maybe people around the world their love one’s are dead.

My Holidays.

In the holidays I was staying at my nana’s house. This man was bringing us some butter chicken and he sold tickets for $20 dollars to go to the movies. On Saturday we went to the movies in Sylvia Park to go and watch the new ‘Transformers 4’. We bought 3 extreme big buckets of popcorn, and 3 large drinks with 2 straws.

We were at the top seats at the back. We could see the movie clearly, but it was noisy because babies were crying and people were talking.  I told them to “shh…” and they were quiet.

The movie was about a man who found one of the main Transformers.  He went with his friend to their old school to talk this old man. Then they went to the stage and saw a truck that  was old, rusty, and dirty. The man asked the old man “How much is this truck?” and the man said “I don’t know”.

So his friend send “I will buy it off you for $150.00 dollars. Then his friend got angry and said “This is my truck” and the man said “No it’s my truck because you aren't the boss”.

The movie took long then I started to fall off to sleep and then  I was asking to go to the toilet. It finished around 11:00 clock. I really liked the movie because Optimums Prime got to ride Grimlock the dinosaur.

What Does Echolocation Mean?

Screenshot 2014-06-25 at 9.56.30 AM.pngEcholocation is what Ben Underwood uses to see. It means that when he does a clicking sound it rebounds off the object and the sound comes back. He knows where he is going and where the object is. He is the only one in the world that can see without eyes, and he can hear cars before his friends can see.

Bats use a clicking sound to find food to eat. When they get closer they do a faster clicking sound to see where their food is, like a moth. Bats have really big ears for hearing. Whales make a sound underwater to call other whales and to find food.
